Alamo engines for 1904 ranged in size up to 20 horsepower. Alamo followed standard practice in attaching the cylinder to the base. At this time the engines were of closed jacket design, with the portable shown here using a large cooling tank.
The Alamo engine company was incorporated in 1903, beginning with engines of 1 to 3 horsepower.
