Belle Isle Motor Co.

Two marine engines were marketed by the Belle Isle people in 1907. The smaller 2-horsepower “Skiddo” sold for $23 and a larger 5-horsepower “Little Hummer” engine retailed for $46. In 1911 Belle Isle merged with Collapsible Steel Form Company of Carson City. The new firm was known as Concrete Form & Engine Company of Detroit.
