history

Mesta Machine Co was born out of the merger of Leechburg Foundry & Machined Co. and the Robinson-Rea Manufacturing Co in 1898. The company thrived until the 1950s but began to decline when the U. S. steel industry started to decline. The company filed for bankruptcy in 1983 and was acquired by Park Corp. and was then divided into separate entities including Mestek and WHEMCO.
