New York Yacht Launch & Engine Co.

The ten 75-foot patrol boats that New York Yacht, Launch, & Engine Company built for the U. S. Coast Guard between 1924 and 1925 were used during Prohibition to intercept rumrunners.Their shipyard was located on the Harlem River in the Morris Heights area of the Bronx.

The New York Yacht, Launch & Engine Company began in 1903 and ended in 1931. They built smaller ships for the U. S. Navy and U. S. Coast Guard and power boats for private owners.
