The WK-40 was a standard tread tractor manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was available in three engine options, the International Harvester 4.9L six-cylinder gasoline, the International Harvester 4.9L six-cylinder kerosene, or the International Harvester 4.1L six-cylinder gasoline. All were 4×2 2WD with manual steering, bull gear final drives, three-speed or four-speed unsynchronized gear transmission, and an open operator station. Its variants included the WA-40 279ci gasoline, the W-40 289ci gasoline, and the WD-40 diesel. The color changed from grey to red in 1936.
