Acme engines continured along the same conventional lines that had been established by Peerless. Hit-and-miss governing on the four-cycle desing was standard. A gear-driven magneto was standard equipment. The Acme line consisted of 2 1/2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 15 horsepower sizes. Acme Engine Company was located in Lansing, Michigan.
Acme Engine Company took over the Peerless Motor Company of Lansing in 1913. The new company was capitalized at $80,000. Research has disclosed that the first advertisement of Acme was in late 1913.
