American Motor Company-Wisconsin

As advertised in 1908, the American marine engines from American Motor Company of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, were available in sizes from 1 1/2 to 16 horsepower. A three-port two-cycle design was featured. Grease cups were used on the main bearings, with a sight feed oiler for the cylinder, following customary practice. For 1908, the single cylinder 2 horsepower model listed at $58. By comparison, the double cylinder 10 horsepower model sold for $200.
