The Priestman engine was developed in England and promoted in the United States by Priestman Engine Company of Philadelphia. Whether Aultman Company actually built these engines or merely served as sales agents is unknown.
Well known as a steam engine and thresher builder, Aultman Company became involved with the Priestman oil engine for several years, beginning about 1896.
