Ayers Gasoline Engine Works

Machine engines were the sole produce of some early engine builders. By the addition of a governor, many of these engines were adapted to special applications. Ayres two and four-cycle marine engines were announced in 1904. The four-cycle marine engines were announced in 1904. The company also built a vertical stationary model to complete the line. No data on teh Ayres engines can be found. The company moved to Rochester, Michigan in 1907.

Ayers Gasoline Engine Works was founded by machinist William F. Ayers. The company mainly manufactured engines but between 1902-1905 they also manufactured automobiles with the brand name Ayers. They were often made to order and had petrol engines. The company was dissolved in 1909.
