Brillion Iron Works

Brillion engines appeared for a short time beginning in 1912. The cylinder, hopper, and base wer cast in one piece. This feature gave great rigidity and also reduced production costs. brillion also ventured into the tractor business from 1916 to 1918 After this time the company specialized in tillage implements.

Brillion Iron Works began as a manufacturer of hand and farm tools in 1890. A foundry was added in 1900 after the plant was relocated and new buildings were added. The company became a division of Beatrice Foods in 1969 and in 1985 they became part of the Robins Group. In 1988, they became a subsidiary of Truck Components and became an Accuride company in 2005. The company was then closed in 2016.
