Even thought the company stopped production in 1918, Crabb was still able to furnish replacement parts il needed.
Issiah E. Crabb and J. W. Dwyer founded the Crabb Grass Engine Company in 1910. The company manufactured hit-and-miss type engines between 1910 and 1918. They moved from West Union, IA to Independence, IA in 1918 and discontinued making engines, instead concentrating on sawmills and general machine work. In 1952, Crabb sold the business and retired.
