By 1920, Delco had risen to a commanding sales position, and their line included 26 different models.
Delco-Light Company was founded by Charles F. Kettering in 1916. They produced electric generators and automotive parts. Originally formed as a subsidiary of the Dayton Engineering Laboratories Company, it became a subsidiary of the General Motors Company in 1919. Delco-Light Company was then merged with the North East Electric Company in 1930 forming the Delco Appliance Corporation.
