This small advertisement of 1905 comprises the total information we have found for Leighton. As the firm name implies, Leighton probably operated as a sole proprietorship. Surprisingly, a good many machine shops operated with only a few employees. Engine production was consequentially, quite limited, and for a substantial number of firms, the total production amounted to only a few copies.
