A blueprint copy of about 1915-1920 is the only information available on Howard Engine Company. Nothing is known except the design is quite similar to the Elgin and Parceile engines built in the Chicago area. Sometimes, the research needed to untangle the origins of a company takes months and years. Even then, the results are sometimes inconclusive.
