history

Probably about 1920, vocational arts students at Ironwood High School, Ironwood, Michigan built this small engine of about 1 horsepower; it still exists. At the time, projects like this were undertaken by a good many high schools, colleges, and vocational schools. Unfortunately, virtually all have long ago kept their appointment with the scrap iron dealers.
