The brief life of many gas engine builders makes a recap of their activites very difficult. In the case of Oshkosh engines, it would appear that their activity began about 1911 and ended within a year or two. Research of the Patent Office Gazette has thus far yielded no clues regarding the comapny, and advertising in carious trade magazines is virtually nonexistent. Oshkosh engines were extremely heavy, and built in sizes up to about 6 horsepower. Very few are known to exist, so those remaining can be considered to be extremely rare.
