The St. Louis Motor Carriage Company was founded by John L. French and George P. Dorris. They manufactured gasoline autos from 1899 to 1905. Around 1905, they moved to Peoria IL and changed their name to the St. Louis Motor Car Co. Peoria. They produced gasoline cars until around 1907
