Eagle Manufacturing

In 1906 the Eagle Manufacturing Company, of Appleton, Wisconsin, first entered the farm equipment market. The Eagle Company was one of the first tractor manufacturers to use a 6-cylinder engine, switching from 2 cylinders to 6 cylinders in 1930. The company’s production was halted during World War II and never resumed following the war.

Eagle made an initial entry into the tractor business in 1905 with a two-cylinder tractor boasting a rating of 32 belt hp. Eagle’s first tractor, which weighed 12,000 pounds was built only into 1906, after which production was suspended. The company reminded out of the tractor business until 1910. In the 1910 through 1916 period, Eagle built a four-cylinder tractor in three different sizes. Eagle began building its two-cylinder tractors in 1913 with the Model D series remaining on the market until 1916.
