history

John H. Fitch formed the Four Drive Tractor Company in November 1915, in Ludington, Michigan. Unfortunately, Mr. Fitch died suddenly in November of 1916. The vice-president of the company, Elbert Jenkins, was elected as the new president. The struggle to make a profit as the tractors were selling barely above the cost of manufacturing led to the demise of the company after the Stock Market Crash of 1929.
