The mighty 1155 used a 540 CID
Perkins V-8 engine with 140 PTO horsepower. Weighing
13,000 pounds, the 1155 had twice the horsepower and half
the weight of the old 30-60 Rumely OilPull of the 1920’s.
The comparison between the old and the new certainly
carries the signal of changes in tractor technology over
the past half century.
