Tractor Info

1919-1927

By mid-1919, the Pioneer “Special” had been replaced with a conventional, but classy, 18-36 model. It used a four-cylinder horizontally opposed engine with a 5 1/2 inch bore and 6 inch stroke. A Kingston carburetor, Bennett air cleaner, and K-W magneto were among the leading features, along with a three speed sliding gear transmission. Total weight was 6,000 pounds. After 1927, the Pioneer tractors disappeared from the directory listings.
