Part of the 200 series, the MF 255 was a row crop tractor available in three engine options. A Perkins 3.9L four-cylinder diesel, a Perkins 3.3L four-cylinder diesel, or a Perkins 3.5L four-cylinder gasoline 4×2 2WD engine. It had a mechanical rear differential lock, power steering, differential dry disc brakes, eight-speed gear, or twelve-speed partial power shift transmissions. with a two-post ROPS and optional canopy. The 255T turbocharged engine was a variant of the 255.
