1958-1963

Farmall 560 Diesel tractors brought a new economy to cultivating and other farm jobs. The powerful diesel engine got 14.46 horsepower hours from each gallon of fuel, compared to 12.20 for the 560 gasoline model. The “per gallon” price differential of gasoline and diesel fuel, coupled with diesel engine economy greatly enhanced the position of diesel tractors. In Nebraska Test No. 669, the 560 Diesel turned out 58.67 drawbar and 62.60 calculated horsepower at maximum load. A maximum drawbar pull of 7,347 pounds was also recorded.
