Oliver 66 Industrial tractors were essentially built over the 66 Standard, whether in gasoline or diesel versions. During the early 1950s, Oliver claimed to have been the undisputed leader in sales of diesel-powered farm tractors. In fact, Oliver was heavily promoting the diesel at a time when many other manufacturers were making a major push toward the use of LP-gas as tractor fuel. The latter certainly offered certain advantages but also had the great disadvantage of complicated fuel handling equipment. Oliver 66 Industrial tractors could be fitted with numerous attachments. Some were built by Oliver, and others could be supplied through their dealer organization.
