Tractor Info

1938-1948

In 1935 Oliver introduced the famous Oliver 70. This new row-crop model used a smooth-running six-cylinder engine. Four forward speeds were available ranging up to 5.88 mph. Standard equipment included the unique skeleton wheels which Oliver called “Power on Tiptoe”. As a result, many farmers simply dubbed this model the “Tiptoe Oliver.” This 1935 model used side panel latches similar to those on a Ford Model A car. In 1936 the side panel latches were changed to the familiar turnbuckle style. Also shown are the “Oliver” and “Row Crop” imposed over the Oliver shield. This decal arrangement was used only from 1935-to 1937.
