Tractor Info

1948-1954

The Oliver Industrial 88 tractors were built essentially over the 88 Standard-tread chassis, and in fact, there appears to have been little difference when the 88 Industrial was equipped with regular rear rubber in lieu of industrial treads. The early grille was found on the “Old Style” 88 industrials. There were many modifications to the new design, but many more were not manifested by a casual look at the tractor. Included was the use of a new style front wheel bearing that did a better job of sealing out dirt and moisture. In addition, the steering mechanism was improved to provide a shorter turning radius on both the row-crop and the standard-tread versions.
