Tractor Info

1936-?

Cleveland Tractor Company introduced their D-Series tractors in 1936 with the gasoline model; the DD diesel style appeared the following year. A 12-volt electrical system was standard equipment. However the DG tractor was not tested at Nebraska until November 1949. The DG delivered over 61 drawbar horsepower from the big six-cylinder Hercules engine. Rated at 1,300 rpm, it used a 4 5/8 x 5 1/4 inch bore and stroke. Although Cletrac, and later, Oliver-Cletrac heavily promoted these tractors for agricultural purposes, they also found extensive applications in construction work.
