1935-1940

The W-40 was a standard tread tractor manufactured in Milwaukee Wisconsin, It was available with three engine options, an International Harvester 4.9L six-cylinder gasoline engine, an International Harvester 4.9 six-cylinder kerosene engine, or an International Harvester 4.0L six-cylinder gasoline engine. All engines were 4×2 2WD with bull gear final drives, manual steering, a three-speed or four-speed unsynchronized gear transmission, and an open operator station. Its variants included the WA-40 279ci gasoline, the W-40 298ci gasoline, the WK-40 298ci gasoline, and the WD-40 diesel. The paint color on the W-40 changed from grey to red in 1936.
