Tractor Info

1914-1915

Production of the 12-25 began at the Milwaukee Works in 1914, but only 13 were built that year. The 12-25 Titan marked a new approach in IHC tractor design — this one featured a four-cylinder L-head engine, compared to the one and two-cylinder styles of earlier years. A front view of the 12-25 Titan tractor illustrates the big cellular radiator. This cooling method quickly ended the era of evaporative cooling for most manufacturers. The system featured reduced weight and water consumption over earlier varieties. The narrowed front axle eliminated interference in belt work. Without a doubt, the twin exhaust system must have created some nice stack music. During 1915 the 12-25 was re-rated as the 15-30 Titan.
